ZA50 Rebuild: Part 1 - Clutch Case

So tonight I finally had the chance to delve into the ZA50 motor and
begin rebuilding it. I ordered the parts that I already knew would
need replacing based on some internet research. I purchased a
replacement teflon clutch case gasket off ebay, Atomic ZA50 shift
dampeners (pucks) from treatland.tv, and Loctite Threadlocker
Blue 242 from Home Depot.

On first inspecting the inside of the clutch case, I noticed that 1 of the
2 bearings on the case cover was seized. The stuck bearing is the
larger of the 2, on the clutch side of the case. This will need replacing.

The seized bearing is pictured here on the left.

Everything else seemed to be in pretty great shape despite the age of
the engine. I was able to remove the roller bearings from the first gear,
remove the first gear, remove the clutch bell house to reveal the 1st
and 2nd speed clutches. Both appear to be in great shape as well.

I wasn't able to get any further than this tonight. I don't have a 15/16"
socket or wrench to be able to remove the lock nut from the clutches.
Looks like I'll need to make another trip to the hardware store very soon.

However, I did manage remove the magneto cover to take a quick look
at the stator, condensor, and points. These too seemed in pretty good
shape for their age. Not sure if i'm going to invest in replacing the
points and condensor or if I'm going to install a performance CDI unit.
I still have to do the research and make my decision.
