i have a similar magnum and getting ready to do the registration, i didnt get a title bill of sale or anything from the person i bought from, wondering if u have a similar case and your approach, also on your magnum where and what number did u use as a VIN.
It all depends on what state you are registering it in. All you need to know is the Name, Address, and Date of who you purchased your Magnum from originally. Your best bet is to have some one you know sell it to you and draw up a bill of sale together and have it notarized at a bank that you have an account with, in most cases it's free for bank members. Your friend can use their legal address and sign all the proper forms, but also provide the original seller information as a means of how they acquired the Magnum. Only in this instance is it possible to get around having the original seller's signature, as long as you can be sure that the previous buyer did not register the moped. It's a dumb loophole but it's all legal.
The vin is on the plate on the fork tube behind the headlight. There should be an identical number next to it, actually stamped into the fork tube itself. It's like 7 characters long I think.
Let me know if you need any more clarification. Good luck!
